China mission of Flevoland Delegation big hit
A delegation of 15 Flevoland companies, the Chamber of Commerce of the regions Gooi- Eem- and Flevoland, the Flevoland Development Agency and a number of universities visited China. This trade mission, led by the Queen‘s Commisioner Mr. Leen Verbeek, turned out to be a great success!
Between 13 and 19 May the delegation visited the cities of Shanghai and Hangzhou. Hangzhou is the capital of the sister province of Flevoland, Zhejiang. In Shanghai the delegation visited the World Expo and hosted a serie of seminars at the Dutch Paviljon.
According to the Flevoland companies the trade mission was very successful. The delegates participated in individual meetings with potential Chinese partners. These contacts have resulted in follow-up appointments and even concrete co-operations and orders.
One of the highlights during the visit of the delegation was the signing of MOU‘s between the departments of Commerce and Science and Technology of the Province of Zhejiang and the Flevoland Development Agency. In which they agreed to co-operate in the field of exchanging Technology and Knowledge and in the field of Foreign Direct Investment.

Due to the successes of this mission a new trade mission is already planned for September 2010 as a continuation of the established business relations.
