Water Technology
Because of its unique history, Flevoland has always been very much involved in water technology and other water-related developments. We know a thing or two about building dikes and creating polders, keeping the water out but also getting clean water in. Our engineers are involved in many projects around the world, thus gathering a wealth of international expertise.
Flevoland is also a head quarter for Waterdienst, the water division of the Dutch highways and water agency Rijkswaterstaat (Dutch). Waterdienst closely cooperates with Deltares, a specialized R&D institute for water technology, and with similar institutes around the world.
